I have so much fun reading all of y'all's confession posts. 

So, I thought I would join in this week. 

I actually thought of this particular idea 

when reading one of Lauren's posts. 

There are certain TV shows that everyone raves about 

and I just haven't seen an episode and for no particular reason. 

A lot of the shows sound like ones I would love and be hooked on as well. 

So, I confess to having never seen an episode of these shows:

Breaking Bad 

Friday Night Lights 

Modern Family 

How I Met Your Mother 

{well, I have seen a few episodes here & there}

My DVR is full of shows

that I want to watch this summer. 

I always tend to watch more summer television

than I do any other time of the year. 

Typically this was because

all of the good scifi shows aired

in the summer. 

But the SyFy channel seems to be

killing all of the really good science fiction shows.

Anyway, that is another blog post entirely.

I have been sucked into the madness!

I have not watched American Idol since the first season.

Reality shows typically are not my cup of tea.

However, Aerosmith is one of my all time favorite bands.

And I actually like Jennifer Lopez.

{I even like most of her cheesy rom-coms}

So, I decided to check out the first episode of AI.

And it sucked me right in.

There was a couple of contestants over the two nights that I am rooting for and I really want them to do well.

Especially, the girl who auditioned last in New Orleans.

Which means that I now have to watch to see if they make it through Hollywood.

Those sneaky tv producers sure know what they are doing!

tv tuesday

I received the first two seasons of The Big Bang Theory for Christmas!

I watched the show fairly regularly when it first came on but somehow I just stopped watching it.

I have no clue why that happened.

This show is absolutely hilarious!

My inner SciFi Geek is in heaven when watching this show.

What makes it even better is that it is not technically a SciFi show.

I have friends who have absolutely no interest in SciFi at all that love this show as well.

I finished Seasons 1 & 2 in about 3 days.

When I went to buy season 3  it was sold out!

UGH...I am not a very patient person at times.

However, TBBT now holds an honored place on my DVR.

catching up

Generally, I do not watch much television.

But during the semester I pretty much watch zero TV.

So this week I got to watch all of my favorite shows!

{I am still not sure if I like the new doctor.}

I completely nerded out over the History Channel's

America: The Story of Us!

My minor for undergrad was history.

So, I know US history backwards and forwards.

But I cannot resist a good telling of American history.

I was riveted to the TV for all 2 hours of last nights episode

and CANNOT wait for next weeks episode.

It is a good thing that I do not try to hide my geekiness.

I have a feeling I would be found out quickly;)

I was not completely thrilled with some of their commentators.

Seriously, Donald Trump?!

And the commentary was a little cliched,

but I loved the visual effects.

{Who doesn't love slow-mo musket fire?!}

Overall, it was totally worth 2 hours of my life!

I am a sci-fi geek. Yes, I just admitted that! Last week I was on a big sci-fi kick. I have gotten every penny worth of Netflix. I love their watch instantly feature. These are a few of the shows/movies I watched.

Did anyone else watch The Sing Off? I was hooked the first night. I have never really watched American Idol...*gasp* I know I am probably the only person in America who does not watch it. But this show was fantastically awesome! It is amazing what people can do with just their voice.

Some of my favorite TV shows have been prematurely cancelled. Making me wonder what goes through the mind of TV executives. Most of these shows were never given the chance to make their mark. The DVD sales of these shows prove that they were awesome! I know there are many more shows I could put on this list but these were my favs!
