may 2016 recap

What's New With You

May had some really high highs and super low lows.

Of course, May started with my awesome honeymoon

Then my oldest niece graduated from high school.
I feel like a second mom to her and I cried at the ceremony.
I am beyond proud of her!

The low part of the month was ANOTHER wreck
If you remember back in February someone pulled out in front of me and totaled my brand new car.
Well, on the way to my niece's graduation, someone rear-ended me
and totaled our Explorer.
This is two cars totaled in three months and neither were my fault.
I told D that I am getting gun-shy driving.
It's like I have a big target on me somewhere!
And it does not help that I commute to work 45 minutes, each way.

We spent Memorial day by the pool with family.
We have two brand new babies in the family and it is so much fun getting baby snuggles.
However, it is not so fun getting asked REPEATEDLY when you are going to have one.
I wanted to scream,
"We have only been married one month!!!"

So, from the honeymoon to another totaled vehicle.
It sure has been a crazy month!

  1. hahahaha sorry i shouldn't laugh at the baby comments, but seriously, it is ridiculous, right? we had people asking us on our wedding day. like, for real? it never stops. when you have one, they'll ask when you're having another. then another. then they ask when you're planning on stopping. people are so nosy and rude lol. but okay that's some cute babies you got there!
i can't believe you were in another wreck! that is terrifying! i would be gun shy driving as well. i hope that is it for you and accidents for like, 5 years.

  2. OMG people need to leave other people's uteruses alone, especially after only one month (but really? ALL THE TIME.). I hate driving and I wouldn't want to do it anymore, either! Glad you were safe but how frustrating!

  3. Haha...sorry people are asking you already when you're going to have a baby! That's SO annoying!! And I'm sorry about all the car accidents. Yikes :( I'm glad they weren't your fault and that you're safe and sound!

  4. Wow, what an up and down month! I just got married in May too and I'm definitely getting pressured to have a baby already. Chill out people! Thanks for linking up with us :)

  5. We've been married a little over two years and everywhere we go people ask when we're having a baby. Just this week one of our new teenage neighbors came over and asked when we're having kids because she wants to babysit! Pressure from literally everywhere!! :) Such a bummer about your car. Hopefully you have better driving luck in June!!
