baby update

Novemeber 2nd is a VERY IMPORTANT day!

And not just because that is election day.
Which is important in itself, but that is a very different blog post.

That is the day we will meet my nephew!
If he decides to wait until then;)
My sister scheduled the c-section Thursday.
We are so excited about finally meeting the little munchkin!

Please say a prayer for my sister.
She is a little nervous about having a c-section.
She had my two nieces naturally.
But she has had some complications this time and the doctor thinks it will be safer to deliver him this way.
Thanks!

the fair = fall ♥

We do not really have a fall in South Georgia.
I mean it hit 90° yesterday and the high today is 85°.
So, when the fair comes to town it is officially fall in my book.
I know it does not really make sense,
but that is how I roll.  ;)
{I cannot believe I just wrote that...my family is very proud}

Anyway, the fair was in town last week!
And the fair is a BIG DEAL in South Georgia.
I have been every year since, well, I can remember.
When I was younger, I would seriously ride every single ride and probably more than once.
Even when I go now I have to ride at least one ride.
While I am on that ride I try not to think about the fact that this metal contraption is probably held together by one measly little pin.
Because, hey, we all have to live a little dangerously once in a while.
My absolute favorite ride is the ferris wheel.
I always hope that my seat will be the one that stops at the top.

Then there is the food.
Yummy, fried, could probably kill you, fair food.
A funnel cake, with extra powdered sugar, is a MUST every year.
Seriously, it is in the "fair" rule book.

{I did not get my phone out fast enough to get a pic of the whole funnel cake}

This year we lived on the edge and tried a fried Reese's cup.
I know!
It was...okay.
Not the best thing I have ever had but definitely not the worst.
But I think I will keep my Reese's out of the deep fryer.
Disclaimer: I was not the only person eating all of this. There were about 5 of us sharing it. Just so you know! :)

{sorry about the horrible pictures. they were taken with my cell phone.}

prayer request

Tonight, my sister's Pastor (Cameron) and his family were in a bad car accident.
They were all rushed to the hospital and Rachel and Makiah were put in ICU.
Makiah, their 4 year old daughter, did not make it.
Rachel is also pregnant with twins and on partial bed rest.

Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
Praying for protection of Rachel and the twins.
Praying for strength and peace to make it through this time.
Praying that God will embrace them with comfort that only He can give.
My sister kept Makiah while Rachel and Cameron worked, until she started preschool, please keep her in you prayers as well.
And please remember their entire church family. Makiah was a well-loved little girl!

I just absolutely CANNOT imagine what they are going through right now.
My heart is breaking for them.

I WON, I WON...{over a month ago}

I could have placed bets that I had already written this post.
And apparently I did. I just did not publish it.
In my defense, I was surrounded by wedding and baby shower craziness at the time.

Anyhow, about a month {or so} ago, I won a giveaway hosted by the lovely JG over at Me and My Soldierman.
Thanks, JG!!!
I won a fab plug-in warmer and 3 fragrances from Scentsy!

{cherry limeade--surprisingly my favorite; baked apple pie, & cinnamint}

Maybe it is a good thing I forgot to hit publish on my previous post.
Because now I can really tell you how much I just love this warmer after using it for about a month.
In fact, I like it so much that I just order a full size warmer for the house.
I have the plug-in in my bathroom, which is connected to my bedroom, and you can smell this little warmer throughout my bedroom and even into the hallway.
I absolutely love the scents I chose.
I only use one cube at a time and, so far, I have only had to change it once.
Even then the scent was still pretty strong, I just wanted to try a different scent.

Y’all should definitely check out Melanie’s Scentsy site.
They have some great fall and Christmas scents!

This the full size warmer I purchased!

Okay, I just looked up the date and I won on Aug 20th.
Yeah…that was about 7 weeks ago.
Better late than never I guess!
