crunch time

I am officially in crunch mode for the wedding.
It is this Saturday!
I am leaving tomorrow for the farm so I can get more accomplished.
It is tough planning a wedding 250 miles away!
Luckily, I am working with the best Bride & Groom.
Of course, I am in no way biased. ;)
When Isa first asked me to help plan her wedding in only 4 months I thought we had all lost our minds.
But everything has gone surprisingly smooth.
We have yet to have any issues come up at all.
Hopefully, the next week continues to be more of the same!

dress shopping

The wedding is just over 2 weeks away and I still have to find dresses to wear to the rehearsal dinner and to the wedding.
Why is it that you can never find anything when you actually have to buy something?
I will find millions of great things if I am just "window" shopping.
I am hoping to find something similar to these dresses.

I found both of these online,
but I hate buying dresses without trying them on first.
And I have kind of waited until the last minute,
so if I do not like them I will not have time to send them back.

Which style do y'all like best?
Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

weekend recap--bullet style

  • Friday night at the farm, my brother starting hinting around that he wanted chocolate chip cookies and apparently, no one makes them quite like I do. So, at 11:00 Friday night we were in Walmart buying cookie ingredients and I was baking cookies until the wee hours of the morning. The things I do.
  • Isa's bachelorette party was Saturday night and we were wild women. So wild in fact, that the party was over by 9 pm. Rebels. That's us. We did not do anything fancy. Ate at Olive Garden and then went bowling.
  • I am the Queen of bowling. Yep, only I can bowl 6 gutter balls in a row. Then I finally hit 1 pin and the very next roll is, you guessed it, a gutter ball. That is skill! I told Isa I was purposely throwing the game so the Bride-to-be would win. That is my story and I am sticking to it.
  • Florida State won again! 62-10! I am equal parts excited and dreading the Oklahoma game this weekend. It will be our first test of the season. I am actually thinking about going to the game Saturday night. If I can find tickets this late. All of my sources for free Seminole tickets are actually using them this game. Can you believe that?!
  • I got to spend some quality time with my kiddos. My little man is growing like a weed. My girls are growing up way to fast, they are becoming young ladies. It just kills me that I only get to see them once every couple of months; but we fit in a great time when we are together.
What did y'all do this weekend?

college football weekend!

One of my favorite times of the year is finally here
College Football Season!
This past weekend was gloriously filled with lots of college football.
I will watch an NFL game but I do not have a favorite team; so, I do not really get invested in the games.
College football is a completely different story.
The besties and I watched at least one football game every day of the weekend.
My team is Florida State University and I bleed Garnet & Gold.

GO NOLES!!
But I am surrounded by Georgia fans.
I know, I know.
I live in Georgia.
But I grew up 30 miles north of Tallahassee.
Athens was like 5 hours away.
Proximity, and in my opinion, a better football team, wins every time.
So, Saturday we watched both the FSU & UGA games.
I was even a good sport and did not gloat about Florida State winning and Georgia losing.
But inside I was doing a little happy dance. :)

I am super excited that FSU is actually ranked this year and seem to have a really good team.
It has been too many years of sub par football to suit me.
The real test will not be until week 3 when they play Oklahoma.
The first 2 weeks are pretty much cupcake games.
I just hope the boys do not get complacent and stay on top of their game.
Oklahoma is going to be tough to beat.
But I have faith in my boys!
I know I have at least 1 Oklahoma fan that reads my blog.
JG I will still love ya even if FSU gets killed! ;)
However, I am not promising I will not gloat just a little bit on Facebook if the Noles win.

Who are you cheering for this year?
{I promise I will not hold it against you if it is the Gators ;)}
