a little thing called...professionalism

What happened to professionalism?
Did they stop handing that out with realty degrees?

My current roomies, aka the two best friends sisters EVER, and I have decided to rent a house in August. We are just tired of living in an apartment complex full of crazy college kids. We do not drink or party and we go to bed at a reasonable hour because we work for a living. So, the music so loud the actual lyrics are crystal clear throughout our entire apartment until 3am and the drunken parties every other night of the week are getting a LITTLE old. 

We made an appointment with a local real estate company to view 3 available houses. We decided to use this company because they were signing leases for August now. Which is a good thing, right?!

 First, the lady is 20 minutes late to the first house. Then she does not "show" us any of the properties. She just kind of wanders around saying "oh yeah, this is the living room."
Really, we did not know that, how could you tell?!
She had never even been inside 2 of the 3 houses we looked at today! She also made the comment several times, "we really want to place a family in this house." She basically had the attitude that we were typical college kids and were willing to live anywhere, so she did not have to make an effort AT ALL.

Attitudes like that just piss me off. I am a grad student, A* is graduating from grad school in May {so techinically she will not be a college student in August}, and M* is a junior in college. A* & M* are sisters and A* & I have been best friends since we were 10 years old. We are family. Not just 3 kids who want to party and trash a house that does not belong to us. I know that I live in a college town and need to expect a certain amount of this kind of thinking. But I already have 2 degrees and I am in no way typical.  
Needless to say, they lost 3 clients today.

I will have to tell you about the 3 houses another time.
Let's just say...
IT. WAS. RIDICULOUS.

fun times of procrastination

Saturday I had about 1,512 assignments to work on. But I had a rare Saturday off from work, so the besties and I painted pottery. We have a great little place here in town where you can paint pottery and make wonderful glass creations. We are going back this weekend to do some glass work. It is a great way to relax and forget about school & work for a couple of hours. Here are a few pics of the works in progress. They have to glaze & fire them which takes about 7-10 days. I will post a picture of the finished pieces when we pick them up.

I guess I am currently waiting to be finished with my MBA so I can finally start a career.

As of right now, no.
I know I might change my mind later.

Nope.
I have a firm foundation in my beliefs and could not survive without my relationship with Jesus.

A good friend of mine just found out he has cancer.

Everyone says my oldest sister and I could be twins.
I just cannot see it;)

umm...peanut butter!
I ♥ peanut butter and could probably eat it on anything.
But it is best on a spoon right out of the jar...yum!

depends on who you are talking to

24. If you could go back in time, how far back would you go?
I would spend one more day with my Aunt Bell.
She raised me and sometimes I just ache for one of her hugs.

USA USA USA

I ♥ the Olympics!
Especially the Winter Olympics.
I love figure skating, ice dancing, snowboarding, skiing, luge, etc.
My absolute favorite is figure skating.
I had a VERY short lived dream as a kid about being a figure skater.
Living in south GA kind of put a damper on that dream.
I stayed up way to late last night watching the Men's Free Skate to see who would win the Gold.
{getting up for my 8am class today KILLED me}

I cannot wait for ice dancing to start tonight!

i am a complete & utter idiot...

and i am NEVER overdramatic.
I had an exam tonight that was 20% of my grade.
I spent all day studying. {not to mention how much I studied this weekend}
I get to class ready to take the test.

When the girl next to me asks:
          "So, are you ready for the test?"
Me:
          "As ready as I will ever be."
Girl:
          "How did you write your cheat sheet?"
Me:
          "OMG!"

See the professor allowed us to have a single sheet of paper with any notes we could fit on it to use on the test. And I COMPLETELY forgot about it. I do not forget things like that especially when it comes to school. I am totally kicking myself in the bum right now. I know I missed some questions that I would have gotten if I had a frigging cheat sheet. Of course, professors make exams a little harder when they allow you to use "cheat sheets." I really need to take something to improve my memory.

We had a blast playing in the snow last night.
This morning it was melting but it was fun while it lasted.
My nieces got to see snow for the first time yesterday too.
And they live on the GA/FL border.
My sis recorded them and sent it to me...priceless!

I was having too much fun to really take my time.
Despite that I took over 100 pics last night!

dreaming of a white...friday night!

Guess what is forecasted for tonight...SNOW!
Granted I am not getting my hopes up too high.
But, hey, a girl can dream, right?!
They are actually saying there could be an accumulation of 1-3".
The last time it snowed here was 3 years ago and then it was just flurries.
I was 6 the last time snow actually accumulated and then it was only 1-2".
Last year when I lived in Chicago was my first experience with snow.
And I LOVED IT!
So, here's to dreaming of a white friday night in South Georgia!!

2 down...88 to go

Last night was day 2 of P90X. This morning I. CANNOT. MOVE. I was not too sore yesterday after day1. But this morining it hurt to even turn over in bed. Hmmm....day 7 is going to be fun! Hopefully, I will get better at this soon. Day 1 was Core Synergistics and I did not quite make it through the entire exercise. I had to stop with 16 minutes left. In all of the busyness of Tuesday I had only eaten 310 calories. Needless to say, I was a LITTLE light-headed before the workout was over. Last night was cardio and I made it all the way through the workout! I could not do all the reps but I tried every exercise. I am averaging about 10 reps depending on the exercise. But there were a few of the exercises that I could do all of the reps! Well, shoulders & arms and ab ripper x are tonight. We will see how it goes.
