random and totally useless bits of information

Things you did not think you needed to know...and probably don't! I am a connoisseur of useless and random information. So, I thought I would a share a few of them with you. Enjoy!

  • Leonardo da Vinci spent twelve years painting the Mona Lisa's lips. He could also write with one hand and draw with the other at the same time.

  • One in every four Americans has appeared on television.

  • The average person will spend two weeks over their lifetime wating for traffic lights to change.

  • A Boeing 747's wingspan is longer than the distance of the Wright Brothers' first flight.

  • A manned rocket can reach the moon in less time than it took a stagecoach to travel the length of England.

  • Dueling is legal in Paraguay as long as both parties are registered blood donors.

  • Colgate faced a big obstacle marketing toothpaste in Spanish-speaking countries. Colgate translates into the command "go hang yourself."

Feel free to share your own random facts

  1. 1 in 4? Crazy! I have! In college a local film crew filmed my lil' sis and I at a Gator game. My Mom turned on the 11 o'clock news to find her daughters a WEE bit tipsy on camera. Ah ha ha

  2. Well, I must be one of the 3 who don't make it on TV, and that's juuuuuust fine with me! Who needs the extra 10 pounds? :)
