digging in the dirt

It may be the farmer's blood in me,
but I love digging in the dirt.
I have been so busy lately with school and work
that I have not had time to plant anything this year.
I definitely do not have time for a full-blown flower bed,
so I decided to do some planters for the front porch.
It was so relaxing to sit in the sun and plant my flowers.
Lowe's has a great selection of "springy" flowers
& there is a cute farmer's market down the street from my house
that has a good selection.
Here is the result . . . what do you think?

I think I need to add some yellow flowers.
The daises in the blue planter will not last long they are
already on their last leg.
{but they looked so sad all by themselves on the shelf}
So I will probably replace them with some marigolds or something similar.

  1. I need to get my booty over to Lowes too! We seriously need osme flowers out front! LOVE those pots. SO cute!

  2. So pretty :D We still have tons of snow ... it'll be July before I get any plants in my window boxes!

  3. Aww I bet those have brightened up your garden. I wish we had a garden! I am getting window boxes for my herbs, when we move.
