playing catch up

My life since Thanksgiving in pictures!
{sorry for the quality, most of the pics were taken with my phone}

I am one of those annoying people that have all of their Christmas shopping done in October.
This year I was actually finished at the beginning of September.
But I did not have time to wrap them.
I had the Monday before Thanksgiving off from both jobs, so I took the opportunity to get all of my presents wrapped.
I go a little overboard wrapping gifts.
Honestly, it is my favorite part of gift-giving.
I always buy little things to add to the bows, like jingle bells, candy canes, & ornaments.

I baked lots of goodies for Thanksgiving!
Peach cobbler, lemon meringue pie, chocolate pie, & of course pecan pie.
I only got pics of the peach cobbler & lemon meringue though.

We put up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving!
We call it our "funky" tree.
Because all of the ornaments are in "funky" colors.

My research partner and I delved back into our research for IT Management the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
We finally derived a formula that would work for our research.
This is what the white board in our study room looked like.
I am sure we were giving the poor freshmen that walked by nightmares!

My little man turned 1 month old on December 2nd.
It is hard to believe I have only gotten to spend about a week total with him since he was born.
My sister is really good about sending me a picture at least once a day but it is just not the same.
Especially since I moved in with her & her hubby for 3 months when my oldest niece was born and we lived together when her 2nd daughter was born.
My sis, the kiddos, and I lived together until my youngest niece was 7 & I moved away for school.
It is super hard to watch my newest kiddo grow up in pictures, but I am going to get to see all 3 of my kiddos for a whole week at Christmas.

 {look at those chubby cheeks!}

 {first Santa picture!}
{I could not resist buying this}

Well, I think that about sums up the past few weeks.
If you made it to the end of this post, I have probably bored you to tears.
Sorry about that, but thank you for your dedication!

  1. Oh, if only I wasn't putting off buying all our Christmas presents until we got to Oklahoma. I would TOTALLY hire you to wrap all of mine. you've got skills, girl!

    And I LOVE the little New Year's outfit! Too adorable. :)

  2. Looks like you've got some cooking skills.

  3. I always plan to have my shopping done early, and do fancy wrapping jobs ... but alas, every year I'm still shopping on Christmas Eve. Sigh.

  4. Wanna come wrap mine? Your packages look so lovely!

  5. Ah! Your Xmas bow tree topper kicks my xmas bow tree toppers ass. I love it! And I'm totally digging the non-tradish ornament colors...very fun.

    Oh. And the tuxedo, Happy New Year onsie. Yeah. Jamie totally has to have that.
